The June jobs numbers indicate that this economy is flatlining without Fed stimulus. We'll have to go through the pain until companies gain confidence. The Left can dismiss the confidence problem if they want to, but it's real, and it's killing our economy. No one with any business sense is going to invest large sums of money in this economy as long as government continues to intervene and create uncertainty. They just aren't, and the left can kick and scream and call rich people nasty names, but it won't happen. In the end, Reality has its say. Government can't keep intervening in the market and creating fear of more interventions and costs, without adverse consequences like high, long-lasting unemployment. A pundit said today that unless Romney comes up with a solution then it's not the President's fault. Oh my. Romney has come up with solutions, and let's hope he implements them -- he says he will give free market principles a try and get government out of the economy. Please, let's let him do it. This will allow those who can solve problems to act, and the acting problem solvers are not in government and not running for president. FG_AUTHORS: M. Farmer |
